In early 2017, TAG TechOps was opened as the MRO division of the APU focused trading and leasing company, TAG Aero. TAG Aero acquired the APU repair and overhaul assets for the GTCP131, GTCP85 and GTCP36 series APUs from Iberia Maintenance. Later that year, TAG Aero also acquired assets and tooling from Chase Aerospace. The intellectual systems and processes were acquired to support the establishment of the FAA/EASA repair station certification for TAG TechOps, now finalized.

TAG TechOps is a certified 145 repair station, holding FAA and EASA certification, and specializing in the repair and overhaul of APUs and APU related components.

As TAG TechOps has began to pick up speed the two sectors recently began to identify under one name, TAG TechOps. The 145 repair station plans to continue reaching bigger milestones as well as expand upon capabilities to maximize customer experience.
